William T. Ward, CEO and Chairman

William (Bill) Ward, grandson of founder W.W. Ward, has steered the company with a steady hand through the most turbulent economic environment of his generation. Having worked his entire career in different departments of his family’s company, he knows the trucking business inside and out.

What marks Bill most is an affinity for his employees, most of whom he knows by first name and a drive to continually raise the bar on the quality of service given to his customers. Contact

Tim Ward, Vice President of Purchasing

Tim is a 38 year veteran at Ward having spent time in Truckload operations, LTL Quality and Process Improvement and most recently in Purchasing. Working with the Ward staff who oversee functional areas within our business, Tim will gain their input then work towards achieving the best, most cost effective solutions to purchasing Ward’s needs and follow up to ensure we received a return on investment. Contact

Bill Ward, Jr.  President

Joining the company in the process improvement department, Bill has taken his talent for standardization and execution to the entire Ward LTL operation. Bill works mostly in day to day LTL execution, the quality measures on the back end as well as future strategic direction.  Contact

David Ward, Jr.  Vice President of Logistics

After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan University, David quickly transitioned into a multi-role position with a start-up transportation company before joining Ward.  Now having been at Ward for several years, David has filled several roles from dispatching to directing. The current role as VP of Logistics enables David to work on developing and driving the success of Ward’s verticals.  Contact

James Ward,  Vice President of Corporate Sales & Marketing

James spent 3.5 years in a transportation start-up environment, where he was able to gain a deep understanding of the general practices of creating and running a business.  Starting his career at Ward as a brokerage specialist with Forward Brokerage gave him the opportunity to experience the industry’s non-asset arena. James eventually transitioned into our Supply Chain/Warehouse division, where he and his teams were able to integrate real-time analytics, technology, and services into our customers’ supply chains.  Most recently James has been overseeing our Corporate Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing departments.  Contact



Thomas Reger, Vice President of Pricing & Partnership Relations

Steve Blevins, Vice President of Logistics Solutions

32 years of transportation experience in Sales Management, Corporate Accounts, Training & Development and Local Sales. Currently resides in Johnson City TN; 2 children (Will -21 yrs old; Jacob-16 ) Spouse Katy Blevins. Currently overseeing Corporate Accounts and TSM’s located in Winchester, Richmond, Raleigh & Charlotte. Also will be involved with Field Sales Development with local TSMs and Sales Management.
