In a joint announcement made by Bill T Ward CEO/Owner of Ward Transport & Logistics headquartered in Altoona, PA, and Ron Massman, CEO/Owner of Dependable Highway Express, a division of The Dependable Companies, with headquarters in Los Angeles, CA, the two family owned, non – union integrated Logistics companies will offer a coast to coast,  LTL service between CA, NV, AZ and the Middle Atlantic Region (PA,OH,NJ,MD,VA, NC, SC & NY) starting August 1, 2014. Ron and Bill are very excited to announce this venture which will provide a strategic alignment of their companies in response to their customers’ request to expand their portfolio of solutions. Bill Ward stated that the new partnership will expand the service footprint of Ward to the West Coast which currently includes the Northeast, the Southeast and the Southwest in addition to the Middle Atlantic.  Ron Massman stated that DHE is very excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with a quality carrier such as Ward and to be able to provide the same high level of service our customers have come to expect from us. In addition, the two enterprises have other service offerings including asset based warehousing, drayage/intermodal service, domestic and international freight forwarding services that will allow these companies to address and satisfy many of their customers supply chain needs overall.   With similar core family values and a strong desire to provide Obsessive Customer Service, both Ron and Bill believe strongly that their companies are positioned well to compete in this new market.  The service by DHE / Ward launches on August 1, 2014.
